To abide is to be deeply rooted or invested.
When we abide in our mental health, we are committing to doing the work to improve ourselves. This is not an easy thing to do. Sometimes, we need more than just a little support to reach our goals. Abide Psychotherapy was founded to help individuals, couples, and families invest in their own growth.
I'm a clinician based out of East Greenwich, RI with experience working with children, teens, and adults in a variety of clinical settings. I received my BSW and MSW from Rhode Island College. Before I became a clinician, I worked as a caseworker for youth in the foster care system. I work with clients ages 10 and up who are looking to make a positive change in their lives. I specialize in anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, grief, parenting and family work, relationship challenges, and perinatal mental health. For clients who wish, I also welcome the integration of faith and Christian principles as part of the counseling process.
I utilize a variety of treatment modalities including acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and expressive arts therapy. I like to take a creative approach by discovering what works best for you and your personal goals.
My goal is to meet you where you are in your healing process and create a safe environment for you to share your story. I look forward to working with you!
